About Collage Number Three
Deadbeat Club published this project in the form of an 8-page publication. It folds out to create a 39.25" x 27" poster. Additionally to its quirky format, this title comes in an edition of 500. CNT contains Hido's characteristic depictions of nocturnal urban landscapes. Further, it showcases some of Hido's portraits. As a result, when we spread it open, we get a fantastic mix of mystery and light. In a way, the format of a poster brings together all the features Tod Hiddo is famous for. Hence, the use of light and shadows, the proximity and intimacy of the portraits as well as the eerie mood of the night landscapes are all present.
