However, neither death nor a certain surrealistic spirit are ever far away. Iturbide's photographs are often enigmatic paintings, for example: dead birds lined up on a sidewalk, predatory birds waiting for their prey in the middle of the desert, crows flying over dry trees, or inert tits sitting on the eyes of a woman.The organic dimension, linked to the blood, to the flesh, to the mud, sweat or soil, also permeates most of her pictures. The photographer maintains a relationship close to reality by capturing singular moments.
