Statement from Matt Stuart

The title took a long time to come up with, Stuart Smith the designer I worked with kept on telling me how important the book title is, it can be the difference between somebody picking up a book or not. So I kept on coming up with titles and he kept on sending me back to the drawing board. Eventually after an inspiring trip to Istanbul I came up with the title “All that life can afford” on the plane home, it comes from the famous Samuel Johnson quote;“Why, Sir, you find no man, at all intellectual, who is willing to leave London. No, Sir, when a man is tired of London, he is tired of life; for there is in London all that life can afford.”— Samuel Johnson, 1777
