Swiss Made features work by twelve of the most celebrated Swiss architects and the most internationally influential figures in contemporary architecture. An essay by Steven Spier presents an overview of Swiss architecture and considers the cultural attitudes that have fostered such refined buildings, while Martin Tschanz assesses the Swiss tradition of integrating design, local building techniques and engineering that is unlike anywhere else in the world. The work of each architect is shown via a profile and three to six projects, documented through plans, drawings and photogaphs specially commissioned by renowned photographer Christian Richters.
