Raphaël Lévy photographed survivors of Nazi concentration camps for project 2251. Around fifty very beautiful contemporary portraits in black and white have been selected: a tribute to men and women who, as adolescents, experienced the world of concentration camps. These photographs, thanks to the mastery of simple and directional lighting, reveal and preserve the authenticity, character and strength of the faces. Accompanied by legends touching in their sobriety, they modestly present the view of a generation in the autumn of its life, which keeps within it the indelible imprint of an unusual history.
